Sandakphu-Phalut Trekking
Lippohochha Homestay acts as the Base Camp for this most rewarding Eastern Himalayan Trek with its panoramic views. We organize a personalized trekking itinerary for all the mountain lovers who want to witness the majesty of the “Sleeping Buddha”. This trek has multi-faceted highlights. You can touch the high pass of Singalila top at 3300m and witness the grandeur of 26 peaks. But one of the most famous parts about this trek is the journey you embark upon. From serene lakes, tranquil rivers, beautiful villages and the Singalila National Park you will get to experience all of it throughout your trek. We also give you the opportunity to add the Phalut trek along to enjoy the extravagant beauty and closeness to the gigantic mountains. There is no settlement throughout this 21km distance from Sandakphy, adding to the aura.
The Singalila National Park is covered with thick Bamboo Forest and coniferous trees making it a home for large diversity of species. We ensure that a Local guide gives you company all along ensuring your safety. Their knowledge about the terrain, its flora and fauna, is sure to overwhelm you. With their experience and a bit of luck you might get the opportunity to site the exotic Red Panda. Throughout this trail you will feel ONE with nature, with birds singing songs, the insects marching down, the leaves swaying melody and your heart overjoyed with such heartwarming views.
We also make certain that within this trek itself you get the cultural exposure while you make your way in and out of various remote villages. We arrange your night halts at various villages which will not only give you comfort after the day’s trek but fill you with memories of lifetime. The hospitality of the local people, the scrumptious meals prepared by them and the tranquility of the tiny villages themselves, is something you will take back with you.
Walk to Debi Waterfalls
From our homestay you can take a lovely 10 minutes walk to the Debi waterfalls. While this river source has been existing since eternity it was officially opened to tourists in the year 2010. If you have never dipped your feet in the cold and clean water right from the bosom of the Himalayas, this is the right place to start. The waterfalls gives you several quaint spots to choose from where you can ignite the inner Writer, Musician, Thinker or Artist within you. While you engage in your deep thoughts, a number of birds will give you company. The cold breeze from the waterfalls, the mountains circling you all around and once a while a local chap passing a friendly smile, the Debi Waterfalls gives you all.
Rimbick Bazar Haat
If your stay period blesses you with a Tuesday, then you can visit Rimbick Haat, the nearest market place. Every Tuesday vendors gather around in the Rimbick Bazar with a wide variety of products ranging from vegetables, fruits, spices, to shoes, garments, skin care products. All the products sold are highly affordable and available in bulk so you will always have a buy for yourself. You can be a part of the generation of the local economy and at the same time make some really useful purchases. After you tire yourself with all the shopping you can hit a local eatery and enjoy a plate of Momos, Thukpa, Roti daal or Samosa.
